It is alive?
This is partially just a test of some modifications I made (merging bunny accounts) because I kinda locked myself out of one. 10/10 2FA security. 0/10 User Brain Working.
Anyway, switched to something that properly backups 2FA codes to multiple locations (imperfect security but better than dealing with broken access) so that’s that.
That and I realized I should really try to do some technical blogging even if it is infrequently more for my reference for future if nothing else.
Basic things I need to revisit:
1) The Catalog of Awesome Things, it has been 10 years since I last updated it so…yeah. Time flies huh.
2) Getting this url properly set up under my account (I’m cheatting with javascript http -> https redirect to avoid paying Bunny more if you hit the wrong url instead of www.kengodwin.com)
3) Writing as a general rule. I’ve been too busy and I’ve stripped out the analytics because those apps aren’t even setup anymore (i.e. matomo isn’t running anymore) so why bother? Plus, honestly, I want to try out some simple css hit counter stuff when I have time to see if it works as well as that bear blog dev says it does as a practical choice.
Soooooooooooo hopefully get that out by the end of the year and resume a couple posts a year blogging rate. lol.
Yeah I’ve stopped caring if my blog is “professional” to some degree just ‘cause I doubt employers ever read these things and I’m more a Reddit/HN armchair commentator than a serious guy :)
